Members' Clubroom now open
Our new Clubroom is open! We are already booking events for the room, both golf and non-golf related. If you are interested in hosting your next event in what will be a beautifully appointed space, please call Jay Williams at Briar Leaf at 219-326-1992.
Island Green Renovation
This past fall we completely rebuilt the island green at hole number three. The green was flattened and enlarged by some 800 sq. ft. giving players a much larger target and a much better putting surface. The back of the island has been extended allowing shots that previously would end up in the pond, to remain on dry ground saving players' both a stroke and a golf ball.
Bunker Renovation
Total bunker renovation has now been completed on the following holes: #1, #2, #4, #6, #7, #9, #10, #11, #14, #16, #17 & #18. Each bunker has been reshaped, had new drainage installed, and new bright colored high-quality sand installed. Not only do these new bunkers give the course a fresh, updated look, the playing conditions are now country club quality on these new bunkers. Plans are to continue the bunker renovation over the next couple of years until all bunkers have been completed.
